Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
An official for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
